No TV Week, Part IV: Tantrum Thrower

Last week I really learned how to use my lungs to let anyone know I'm not happy. Sometimes Momma and Daddy think it's funny, but not in the middle of the night.

Oink Oink!

No TV Week, Part III: Fake Cougher

Here's what I spent most of my time doing last week, and every other day of my life now for that matter: hucking my books and toys onto the floor & fake coughing.

No TV Week, Part II: Sleeping Beauty

Every day, if I do what I'm supposed to, I take 2 naps. One around 9 a.m. and one around 1 p.m. Here's a video of me sleeping with (on top of) my favorite blanket. Momma and Daddy stopped taking pictures of me asleep because the flash always wakes me up.

No TV Week, Part I: Bathing Beauty

Before Momma's TV meltdown during our (almost successful) TV & computer Turnoff week, I got my first dip in the pool. And one thing is certain: I am a splashing machine.

Weekend Update

I had a fun weekend. Yesterday we went into the city and had a picnic and stroll by the water. I had fun checking out all the people and dogs. But it was really windy and chilly. Here's me and Momma and the fog and the bridge.

Today it's hot. 86 degrees to be exact and we are burning up with no A/C. We went on another walk today and I fell asleep in my stroller.

Here are some videos from yesterday you can watch if you want. They are kind of boring. Momma and Daddy are doing a crazy thing this week: participating in National Turnoff Week. That means no TV and no recreational computer use until next Sunday. It doesn't seem like babies should have to go along with this (dumb) idea but Momma and Daddy are the boss of me. So what I'm saying is--you won't be hearing from me again 'til next Sunday. So maybe you will end up watching these boring videos...if you really miss me that is.

Boring Video #1: Messing around with Dad's Mt. Dew Bottle:

Boring Video #2: Stuff I Think is Funny: "Excu-u-use Me!"

So I hope you have a good week. I guess me and Momma will just be sitting here staring at each other all week. I'll sign off with my best impression of Daddy.

Daddy and Me

Everyone is always telling me I look like Daddy. I definitely got his shoulders. Peeps are always asking me if I work out. Don't they know babies can't work out?! Check out my guns:

Here's a picture of one of my pigs:

Do you think it's big? People at church are always saying I have big feet. I think it's rude---plus have you seen my parents' clodhoppers? What do they expect?

Every night after my bath, my dad lets me do my favorite thing of all: horse around on the bed naked. As soon as he puts me down in my towel, I flip over onto my stomach and crawl as fast as possible to dive into the pillows.

I can't wait for him to come home every night.

I just love my dad. Okay?

Jabber Crying

My new thing is to try to talk when I'm crying. If something's wrong, I'll tell you about it!

Little Rascal

Momma and Daddy have to keep a close eye on me now that I'm all over the place. Sometimes I can get into a little bit of mischief.

Like when I try to eat the piano music folders

Or I peek out from behind my curtain and squeal when I'm supposed to be taking a nap

Or I get stuck under my exersaucer

Or I play where I'm not supposed to.

And even though I may get a little crazy after my bath,

I always go back to being an angel at some point.

Going Vertical

Crawling is getting old. Now I only crawl until I can get to something I can pull up on. I like to stand up by:

The laundry basket

The bed

My crib

The red cart

And the couch

Meat Eater

As I mentioned earlier, I'm a really good eater. My doctor told me I could start eating some meat. And if anyone knows how to eat meat, it's Momma and Daddy. Check out our freezer after our trip to Costco yesterday:

To continue our shopping extravaganza yesterday, we went to Target. Here I got some baby meat and a high chair. Thanks for the high chair, Uncle Rick and Aunt Marla!

Momma and Daddy also bought a gate to keep me out of the kitchen and that made me mad. But the highlight of my weekend was when Daddy let me ride in the front of the shopping cart like a big boy. I LOVED it so much!

I'm a good eater

So far I have liked everything I've eaten: applesauce, bananas, prunes, green beans, green peas, squash, sweet potatoes and carrots.

Now I just need to get my hands on some meat and learn how to use my cup.
